FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) storage tanks, mixing tanks, and process vessels are available in a variety of custom shapes. These FRP tanks are fabricated vertically using filament winding technology. All Plas-Tanks tanks feature an integral bottom, which creates strength where head pressure is greatest.
Fiberglass Reinforced Tanks have unlimited flexibility to adapt to your needs and requirements. Plas-Tanks FRP Vessels feature:
- no seams to weld
- lighter weight for less costly lifting equipment
- minimal maintenance for non-corroding, non-rusting FRP
- no exterior painting
- suitability for aggressive chemicals like acids and alkalis
Optional freeze protection systems are available for temperature sensitive processes and environments.
RTP-1 Tanks
Plas-Tanks holds an ASME RTP-1 Certificate of Authorization. RTP refers to Reinforced Thermoset Plastic, and the ASME RTP-1 standard is the most comprehensive and active standard in the industry for reinforced thermoset plastic (RTP) equipment. Plas-Tanks is one of the few fabricators to achieve this high level of quality.
