Multistage Centrifugal Blowers & Vacuums
Spencer multistage centrifugal blowers can be used as a vacuum to pull rather than push air. They provide an efficient and precise way to move air and gases and are available in three basic designs:
- Standard Overhung (SOH) for standard performance, with impellers mounted on an extended motor shaft
- Four-Bearing Overhung (4BOH) for higher performance, with impellers mounted on a shaft coupled to the motor shaft
- Four-Bearing Outboard (4BOB) for the highest performance, with impellers mounted on a shaft supported at both ends by self-aligning ball bearings, coupled to the motor shaft
Spencer multi-stage blowers feature:
- heavy gauge cold-rolled sheet steel with a tensile strength of 50,000 psi, welded and reinforced for extremely rugged construction
- OPTIONAL. construction materials for extreme temperatures, caustic chemicals or other corrosive conditions, such as aluminum, Hastelloy®, Cor-Ten® steel, Monel, various stainless steels
- rotating impeller assemblies with clearance of 1/8″ or more for low-maintenance operation
- housing diameters ranging from 14″ to 88″
- volumes to 25,000 ICFM
- pressures to 20 PSIG
- vacuums to 15″ Hg

Multistage Centrifugal Vacuum Systems
When used as Industrial vacuums, they clear dirt, dust, powders, chips, and liquids from many commercial and industrial processes. This includes car rental and sales facilities, automotive repair shops and facility centralized vacuum systems.
Spencer vacuum systems are designed to meet the needs of the facility, which may require central vacuum systems or self-contained vacuum units.
